How Does the API Signal Installer Network Work?

You join once. When fleet work comes up in your area, we send you the job and you have one hour to take it or pass. Here is how it runs, start to finish.

Where does the work come from?

Fleets, resellers and telematics providers contact API Signal directly about GPS, dash cam and telematics install work around the country.

API Signal has installed fleet GPS, telematics and camera systems for 35 years. Fleets, resellers and telematics providers contact us every week about work in their areas. The API Signal network is how we get that work done, wherever it is.

How does a job reach me?

We screen every customer by phone, match the job to your counties, and send it to you alone.

  • You join once. Apply, sign the partner agreement and send us your insurance certificate, and once we have checked it you are approved. Joining costs nothing, and your first lead is on us.
  • A job comes up in your area. We confirm it is a real business with vehicles, the equipment already in hand, and the person who can hire.
  • You get it on your phone. The city, the vehicle count and the lead fee. You have one hour to accept or pass.
  • Accept, and the customer is yours. The lead fee comes off your balance: $75 for 1 to 10 vehicles, $150 for 11 to 25. Jobs over 25 vehicles are quoted before you accept. Pass, and nothing is charged.
  • You do the install and bill the customer. Call the customer within the hour, then quote, install and invoice them directly. You keep all of it.

One human step, always. A real person here reads every signup and screens every customer. Each lead goes to one partner at a time, never to a group racing to answer first.

Am I an employee of API Signal?

No. Everyone in the API Signal network runs their own independent business and is not an employee.

  • Not employment. You are not on our payroll.
  • Not exclusive. Work with anyone else you like.
  • Every lead is your choice. You see the city, vehicle count and fee before you accept, and passing costs nothing.

Who is the API Signal installer network for?

Independent GPS, dash cam, 12-volt and telematics installers, from one-person operations to install companies with their own crews.

If you already do 12-volt or telematics work and want more of it without chasing sales, the network is for you. Solo techs and established shops use the same signup. Tell us where you work and what you install, and we take it from there.
